WELCOME TO THE NORTH OF SCOTLAND REFEREES ASSOCIATION WEB SITE
The Scottish Football Association has almost 2,300 registered Referees. These include 145 senior Referees qualified to officiate at the most senior levels of football in Scotland. Namely, the Scottish Premier League, Scottish Cup, Scottish Football League, and in the North of Scotland, The Highland League.
The North of Scotland Referee's Association provides referees throughout the very large geographical area that is The Highlands and Islands. Membership is drawn from Nairn in the south to Wick in the north, and extending westward to Fort William, Skye and the Outer Hebrides. The Association maintains responsibility for the refereeing all grades of football within its boundaries. NOSRef has over 100 members throughout the Highlands and Islands. Six of those members regularly officiate in Scotlands senior Leagues.
Some of the competitions covered by NOSRef include : The Highland League, North Caledonian League, Highland Amateur Cup, Ross-shire League, Caithness League, North West Sutherland League, East Sutherland League, Inverness Amateur League, Lewis & Harris League, Uist & Barra League and Strathspey & Badenoch as well as all youth football in the area.
All matches have one thing in common - THE NEED FOR A QUALIFIED REFEREE!
